Minimum 2 years experience required.
We are an independent practice, looking to recruit an additional colleague. We are based in Kent, with access to beautiful local countryside. Close to M25 and local high speed rail link to London.
The practice is exceptionally friendly and supportive, with a of team of 20 vets, holding certificates in surgery, medicine, ECC, anaesthesia and imaging. We are patient care and case continuity focused. There is a busy medical and surgical caseload, with referrals accepted from all over the South East. The practice runs its own night service OOH with dedicated veterinary surgeons and nurses.
We provide extensive in house medical and surgical training. There is a weekly clinical club and regular teaching. Ongoing practical and financial support to continue onto successful certificate study.
Salary package from £40,000 *depending on experience.

Veterinary Nurse
RVN required at The Meopham Veterinary Hospital.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and passionate RVN to work at our main hospital.
The Meopham Veterinary Hospital is a busy practice with three sister branch surgeries where overall we have a team of 16 vets, 31 nurses and 7 receptionists.
Our practice has excellent facilities such as CT scanner, digital radiography, orthopaedic equipment, hydrotherapy and grooming. We are lucky enough to see a wide variety of cases with many of our vets and nurses studying for various certificates.
We can offer a great team and friendly environment, the opportunity to gain more experience with excellent equipment, as well as the opportunity to develop and progress.
This is a full time role only and includes working 1 in 6 weekends.

Trainee Maintenance Worker
Meopham Veterinary Hospital is seeking a recent school leaver or gap year student to assist, learn and work with our current estate manager.
The successful applicant needs to be a car driver, physically fit and be able to work full time Monday to Friday.
The post will be for an initial trial period of 3 months with the potential to extend for a further three months if mutually agreed.
Job description:
The role will involve grounds, building and site maintenance, renovation, preparation, painting and tidying at the end of day. It involves but is not limited to landscaping tasks, use of petrol tools, grass cutting, car park management, receiving deliveries and communicating with trade professionals.
Person Specification:
Someone who is punctual, is animal friendly and has some of their own tools is preferred.
Experience is not required but a willingness to learn and work hard is.
3 month probationary period is on minimum wage with an option to increase this if a successful candidate is found.
The successful candidate will need to be fluent in English, due to the nature of the role, there is the need to understand instructions clearly for health and safety.

Canine Hydrotherapist
Job Summary
The Meopham Veterinary Hospital is looking for a part-time qualified and experienced hydrotherapist to join the team. Candidates must hold at least a Level 3 Certificate in Canine Hydrotherapy and have previous experience with a range of cases including orthopaedic and neurological conditions.
We see referrals from surrounding practices as well as our own patients giving a varied case load.
The right candidate must be driven to give the best care possible, to work well in a team and also by themselves, have a passion for animal rehabilitation and exceptional customer service skills.
This is a part time role, Monday, Tuesday and Friday with no weekend work.
Pay will be dependant on experience
Duties
- Conduct hydrotherapy sessions for dogs, tailoring treatments to individual needs.
- Monitor and assess each dog’s progress throughout their rehabilitation journey.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment in the hydrotherapy area, ensuring all equipment is in good working order.
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with pet owners about their dog’s treatment plans and progress.
- Assist with heavy lifting of dogs as needed during sessions, ensuring their safety and comfort.
- Collaborate with veterinarians and other animal care professionals to develop comprehensive rehabilitation plans.
Requirements
