Vet Surgeon

Minimum 2 years experience

We are an independent practice, looking to recruit an additional colleague.  We are based in Kent, with access to beautiful local countryside. Close to M25 and local high speed rail link to London.

The practice is exceptionally friendly and supportive, with a of team of 20 vets, holding certificates in surgery, medicine, ECC, anaesthesia and imaging. We are patient care and case continuity focused. There is a busy medical and surgical caseload, with referrals accepted from all over the South East. The practice runs its own OOH night service with dedicated veterinary surgeons and nurses.

We provide extensive in house medical and surgical training. There is a weekly clinical club and regular teaching. Ongoing practical and financial support to continue onto successful certificate study.

The role would suit a colleague with a strong interest in surgery, holding or wishing to pursue a certificate. Salary package from £40,000

Veterinary Nurse

We are looking for an enthusiastic and passionate RVN/final year student to work at our Meopham Veterinary Hospital.

The applicant must be enthusiastic and customer focused. We are looking for someone who is passionate and enjoys working as part of a team.

Our team consists of 20 vets, 33 nurses and 7 receptionists spread across our main Meopham hospital and 3 branches.

Our Meopham hospital has excellent facilities such as CT scanner, digital radiography, orthopaedic equipment, hydrotherapy and grooming. We are lucky enough to see a wide variety of cases with many of our vets and nurses studying for various certificates.

We can offer a great team and friendly environment, the opportunity to gain more experience with excellent equipment, as well as the opportunity to develop and progress.

Groomer

We have a full-time position available at Pride and Groom Sevenoaks, based inside The Sevenoaks Veterinary Surgery.

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Pet Groomer to join our team in our Sevenoaks Salon to work alongside our sister salons. In this role you will be responsible for providing high-quality grooming services to dogs and cats ensuring their comfort and well-being throughout the process. The ideal candidate will have a love for animals, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to handle pets of all sizes with care and professionalism.

**A Dog Grooming Level 3 qualification or equivalent with experience in completing full grooms is essential.**

Working hours are Monday to Friday with every other Saturday to be worked with a day off in lieu. Bank holidays off. Applicants must be customer focused and have a passion to deliver high standard grooms and customer service for the salon. The successful candidate must be happy dealing with clients face to face, responding to emails and taking phone calls and able to work unassisted.

Pay will be dependent on experience and skill.

Responsibilities

Perform high quality grooming services including bathing, cutting, and styling fur according to breed standards and/or customer preferences. Assess the condition of pets’ coats and skin, identifying any health issues that may require veterinary attention and communicate this to pet owners. Handle pets safely and compassionately, ensuring their comfort throughout the grooming process. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the grooming area, including tools and equipment. Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with pet owners about their pets’ needs and grooming options. Advise pet owners on proper care techniques, including brushing, bathing frequency, and product recommendations.

Assist with heavy lifting when handling larger breeds or multiple pets as needed.
