Phoebe is a 6-year old Springer Spaniel. She presented to us after her owner noticed that she was coughing and bringing up a blood tinged phlegm. This occurred after walking in a field of wheat. Bruce anaesthetised Phoebe and using the bronchoscope he successfully removed a piece of plant material from her right lung lobe!!! A CT scan then revealed she had pneumonia so an extended antibiotic course was initiated.
We are pleased to report Phoebe made a full recovery! Well done to Bruce and the team.
