Lily the cat with a hock luxation

Lily was admitted to the hospital late one Sunday evening following a road traffic accident. She presented with bruising & lameness on her right hind. Radiographs revealed bruising to her lungs & a distal intertarsal joint luxation to her right hind leg. Lily was stabilised with oxygen, fluids and pain relief and was well enough for surgery a few days later. Here they inserted a 2mm pin into the bone stabilise the luxation.

We are pleased to report she went on to do very well at home.
